DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH S.G. PROPERTY MANAGEMENT OF SARATOGA, INC. - TopicsExpress

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH S.G. PROPERTY MANAGEMENT OF SARATOGA, INC. OR MR. TOM PEYTON (OWNER) The building I live in switched hands three times. Ive always paid my rent on time. Maintenance has never been done except for the first owner and manager who were good at coming out when I called and asked them to fix something the second time I called. The second property manager for the second owner would always say they had to submit it then tell me it had been submitted and then continue to tell me it had been submitted and then nothing. Then onto S.G. Property Management of Saratoga, Inc. who just does not return my phone calls. Now finally today I called and said that I had called a few times about questions such as the laundry facilities they shut down without notice to the tenants and I have a card for the laundry I have $60.00 on the card and no where to use it but now I also needed to get my heat turned on it wasnt working and I believed it needed to be turned on from the basement which they now had locked. Tom Peyton the owner called me back yelling at me that I wasnt to call that number I was to call the maintenance number supplied to me in a letter sent to all tenants. I told him I never received that letter. He said he wasnt going to argue with me there was a bulletin board in my building that had the number as well. All the time his voice was raised and he was continually telling me he wasnt arguing with me. I told him I wasnt arguing and asked him if he had been to my apartment. I said you do realize my apartment comes in directly from a dirt parking lot there is no bulletin board going into my apartment could you just please tell me where the board is. He yelled listen you want to argue or you want the number. I said this is how you treat your tenants that pay their rent every month on time? This is ridiculous. Are you taking medication? You need to take it now. Youre screaming at me about a bulletin board I dont know what youre talking about Ive never seen one I dont know where one is and I pay my rent every month and I pay it on time and you never have any problems or complaints with me or about me and I dont even complain that you never come out and fix the broken things in my apartment my son just fixes them if its an emergency. He continued yelling. I said go back on your medication and hung up. He actually called me back to continue to yell at me. I honestly didnt believe he was the owner. I was so disbelieving that an owner would mistreat a tenant so badly that paid their rent and cared for their apartment, didnt have any complaints from other tenants or authorities. I had to check it up to find out if he was in fact the owner and found out he was. I have a severely handicapped brother who has muscular dystrophy and can not do stairs or steps which is why I chose this building and put up with the ongoing problems of non repairs and owner changing and this makes it hard to just pick up and move since I have to find a first floor with no stairs and that is easy for my brother to move around in comfortably and fits into our income. My first priority is my brothers well being. Now I have a landlord who is so ignorant I have no choice but to look for another place to live even though he has a for sale sign out front. Hopefully he sells it fast and I wont have to move but for anyone else thinking to rent from this mans company, he is very unprofessional and something is wrong with him and his way of dealing with people. I was not arguing with him but he continued to yell at me that I was trying to argue with him when I was just trying to ask where the bulletin board is so that in the future I could check for postings. He was overly obnoxious and loud. When he called back I yelled back at him. Im not one for just being yelled at and being okay with it. I took the number and hung up on him. Called the number and its an answering service not maintenance. Now I see why he wants the tenants to call that number. Either way I did not choose him. I chose the original owners who got the building foreclosed back to the bank who sold it who then sold it someone else and wound up getting stuck with this man and his company. Obviously being a good tenant is not good enough for this man. Im hoping to save others who have the option of choosing him from the fate of having to do business with him. Hes horrid.
