DO NOT DONATE ON THIS POST. It is a plea like this that makes it hard for well respected rescues to find help for animals that need more than basic vetting. What does their adoption fee cover? What is their adoption fee--cannot find on their site? They post an inflammatory practice that gets people all in an uproar requesting donations of their 121,000 followers (and imagine the shares?) to cover basic vetting or they cannot pull this dog? I do not doubt this terminal surgery practice occurs but wouldnt they just sub another dog? They are not outing the practice or groups/businesses/schools involved? Vet fees are generally under $100? If only a fraction of their followers donate $5-10 to the general donation fund, not a chip in, not a monitored account that informs all followers when amount is reached, just asks you to post name of dog in comments. Does anyone else think this is wrong? Odd? This group adopts only locally in the Atlanta area, is a PO box in Alpharetta and their FB page doesnt correspond with their animals available on their website when I have checked? KNOW THE GROUPS IN WHICH YOU PLACE YOUR TRUST AND MONEY. WORK LOCALLY, help locally, donate locally. AGAIN, DO NOT DONATE!
