DO NOT HARDEN IN THE HANDS OF THE POTTER Dearly beloved never forget that God is the Potter and we are the clay. In other words, God is doing ALL THE SHAPING AND MOLDING THAT IS NECESSARY TO GET US TO WHERE HE HAS BEFORE TIME ORDAINED THAT WE SHOULD BE. WARNING, DO NOT RESIST THE MOLDING AND SHAPING HAND OF THE POTTER. TO DO SO CAN PROVE EXTREMELY COSTLY AND DETRIMENTAL. AS LONG AS THE CLAY IS SOFT, ITS PLIABLE AND ABLE TO BE MOLDED. BUT IF THE CLAY HARDENS BEFORE THE POTTER FINISHES THE WORK (DESIGN) OF HIS HEART, (THE POTTER) WILL HAVE TO BREAK THE VESSEL AND START ALL OVER AGAIN. MANY VESSELS HAVE MISSED GODS BEST FOR THEIR LIVES BECAUSE THEY ALLOWED THEMSELVES TO HARDEN IN THE LOVING HANDS OF THE MASTER POTTER. The first generation of Israelites was rejected by God to enter into their promise (destiny) as a result of their unbelief (Heb 3:19). No we must not understand unbelief in this context to be that Israel didnt believe that the Lord could do it for them. They had already witnessed the Lord open the Red Sea, Lead them supernaturally by a pillar of cloud during the day and pillar of fire by night. Israel KNEW the power of God! The unbelief that Israel was rejected for was not that they didnt know the Lord could bring them into the place He promised them, their sin was, THEY COULDNT STAND GOD FOR THE WAY HE CHOOSE TO TAKE THEM IN. They didnt expect to be challenged along the way. As a result of them harboring this attitude, they became bitter in their hearts towards the Lord as He corrected them and sought to purify their faith. We (the church) are also warned not to develop that same hardness of heart that Israel possessed, Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God (Heb 3:12). This is especially true in this hour. Many things have infiltrated and been introduced into the church over the years and many unsuspecting believers have bought into the hype of them, built their relationship of God around them and are teaching them to others. The Lord is coming to remove those things. Many of them are creating divisions and confusion among His people and are conflicting with His will/plan for our lives. For some, this will not be an easy transition; and a a result, some will war against the Lord as He takes us through to bring us out. This is why no matter how old or how young we are, no matter our title/position, we must never come to the place where we cannot be corrected. No matter what/who we see ourselves as and what/who others may see us as, we must accept the fact that there is still some shaping and molding the Lord desires to do within us. May our hearts be humble enough to at least ask the Lord to search us and try us and correct what needs to be within our lives. May our hearts be ever yielded to the correction of the Holy Spirit. May we be careful not to quench His conviction or to quiet His voice, lest we stop hearing Him altogether. Lord help us to humble ourselves to respond to your lead for our lives. May we see Your correction as love and your dealings with us as mercy. Help us to remain soft and pliable in Your gentle and loving embrace. In Jesus name.
