DO YOU BASE YOUR SALVATION ON RELIGIOUS PRINCIPLES OR COMPLETELY - TopicsExpress

DO YOU BASE YOUR SALVATION ON RELIGIOUS PRINCIPLES OR COMPLETELY UPON GOD’S AMAZING AND UNEARNED GRACE? True, saving faith can be discovered no where else outside of God’s Word. It is His love letter unto all mankind which He alone inspired a few dozen human hands to write. Diligent Christians are those that seek a healthy diet of Godliness, feasting on wisdom by feeding on the spiritual nourishment only served up by Gods divine and holy Word. Seeking Him through any other means only produces the starvation of a dead-end religious viewpoint and there is no truthful, redemptive power to set us free from the spiritually destructive delusion derived from a works-based mindset. A constant, most effective lie from the devil of deception himself. Being a good person in order to please God and eventually gaining access into Heaven is in direct opposition to placing our trust in the Lamb of God who alone was ever able to provide perfect atonement for our complete redemption, as it was planned from the foundation of the world. Such a brainwashed belief bypasses all that Christ achieved on our behalf at Calvary. He either paid the price required of God in full by His blood or He didn’t. His dying words make it quite clear that such a price for the forgiveness and deliverance from sins power requires no future sacrifice as He said in His last breath that “It is finished. Furthermore, God does not share His glory. Salvation is given freely from Him alone and for His name’s sake. It can not be earned via any human endeavor, lest we take credit away from God for it. Even the faith He imparts unto us in order to help us recognize the need for a Savior and to recognize Christ alone is that Savior, is divinely imparted unto us. No wonder the free and wonderful gift of God’s Grace is so undervalued and increasingly misunderstood. No wonder He suggests we have child-like faith, because it just can’t be so simple….now can it? No wonder so many people sadly seem to think that salvation relies on our futile and fleshly performance and is anything but eternally secure. No wonder Satan has such an wonderful time of keeping people under the dreadful bondage of guilt and condemnation. Fellow Children of God, you are in Christ! He has set us free!! Don’t you understand this? So, begin to recognize His mercifully-miraculous way-making power, victory and authority over the curse of sin, spiritual death, Hell and never-ending shameful torment that those who refuse to ever acknowledge Him will receive as they are forever cast from His presence. We have indeed been freed from the penalty of sin the very moment we were sealed by His Spirit. As we daily choose to abide in Him within us rather than feeding our old fleshly nature that hates to yield to the power of His righteousness, we gain steadfast victory over the presence of sin that perpetually permeates this world. Ultimately, as we leave this corrupted human existence and enter into His everlasting Kingdom, we will finally be delivered from the presence of sin, forevermore!! Dedication and devotion are certainly vital if we are to grow in wisdom and increase in our level of fellowship with the Lord. However, He leaves that up to us. Yet, He is there every step of the way to faithfully inspire, comfort and counsel us. He always has been and always will be a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. So yes, we have responsibilities beyond the moment of our salvation. However, they are works not of our own volition to earn God’s favor, but these works are only achieved through Gods’ grace and with His Spirit leading us into an ever-increasing evolvement of Christlike character and fruit-bearing that produces lasting benefits, eternal rewards and doing that which brings our ever-loving Lord pleasure. After all, we would never be able to achieve a maturing relationship with Him to begin with, if He hadn’t first secured us eternally at the moment of our conversion through indwelling us with His Spirit, which He promises never to take from us once He gives it. Amazing indeed……Hallelujah! How can we genuinely offer the Lord a faith that is sincere if we apply much of that faith toward’s our own achievements? How can we truly trust the Lord for anything at all if we can’t trust Him when it comes to eternal life?? How can we recognize Him as true and faithful if we don’t completely count on His true and faithful promises??? If these questions pose a mental quandary then it’s time you come forth out of that religious nonsense and dive into the depths of the soul-cleansing, bondage-breaking, spiritually refreshing water which can be found in no other place than His Word alone!! Bottom line: Religion was created (as Satan also inspired human hands to write such), in order for us to place faith in ourselves….not dependence upon Christ and His perfected, complete work on that cross. And isn’t that what Satan wants us to do after all? To pridefully steal the glory from God? To go throughout life with a false sense of how much God truly loves us? To fail to recognize how unconditional HIs love truly is? To override what He has already achieved by working things out in our own way? And finally, to grieve our Heavenly Father as He watches us foolishly destroy ourselves day by day through lack of scriptural knowledge and ignoring His own Spirit of Truth within us that longs to offer discernment? Who on earth do we think we are if we assume we have real faith that honors God while we discredit what Christ has fully accomplished? How many more times must He completely sacrifice Himself in order that we might finally be justified in God’s eyes and according to His Holy standards? No doubt Satan seeks to rob us of the joy and confidence of who we are, forever in Christ. We inevitably become our own worst enemy if we try to work out our redemption through our own efforts or merit, stubbornly thinking, surely more needs to be done in that regard. Nothing about the power of His divine blood is temporary. He needs not bleed another drop of it, and He won’t. Or else, He wouldn’t have said that our price has been paid in full. Nothing saddens the Lord more than for us to trust in ourselves and not bank on His promises and His free and most gracious pardon. Whereas, nothing pleases Satan more than for us to live under the condemnation of the old covenant law, through which we we will never be able to find lasting sanctification. (The O.T. law just showed mankind how inadequate we were to save ourselves, exposing our imperfections as only Christ was perfect which is why only He was able to fulfill the requirements of the law.) Rather, we will only be able to flourish through the new covenant knowledge which is based on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and His righteousness. This alone is the foundational wisdom of the abundance of God’s immeasurable and unconditional saving grace!! Get to know it, or please die trying. For there is no true hope without it. No matter what any other word beyond God’s ever-living Word has to say about it. ~ jeff Jeff Robb ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****When you gave your heart to Jesus He gave you the authority to become a child of God (john 1:12). Since you are His child, you are also His heir (gal 4:4-7) and your inheritance is eternal life (titus 3:7). Your unconfessed sins will interrupt your fellowship with God, but you can never stop being His child.**** John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Eph. 2:8-9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. 2 Cor. 1:22 - …And he has identified us as his own by placing the seal of His Holy Spirit upon our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us. John 1:17 - For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Isaiah: 64:6 - We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind. Romans 3:24 - Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. Romans 8:1-4 - Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set youa free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh,b God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.c And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Eph. 1:6-7 - So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Gods grace 1 Corinthians 15:55-58 - O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. Jesus is the Risen Lord. Death couldn’t handle him. The grave couldn’t hold him. • He defeated the power of death (Acts 2:24). • He destroyed the power of sin (1 Corinthians 15:56-57). • He disarmed Satan (Colossians 2:15). Galatians 3:10 - For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them (always - without fail).”
