DO YOU LIKE THIS SUNDAY LIFE? Somewhere in my brain,Ive always admired family men who treat their wife and children like this. And one day,I certainly hope that Ill be able to give my own the very best. The man has two kids(one boy and one girl). On a sunday morning, the wife will bath the girl and prepare her for church while the man will do same for the boy. Theyll get to the church and stay together as a family till the end of service. At the end, theyll come out and exchange pleasantries with a few friends before zooming off to the house. The wife reminds the husband that its his turn to prepare the meal and the man will jokingly tell her its also her turn to disturb him around 1:00am. If not,no food;so they agree amidst laughter. Around 1 pm after they mustve finished eating and relaxed, theyll all drive to a cinema and see a movie together. After that, the man will enter the game section with his son, while the wife disappears into the boutique with the daughter...with the husbands credit card. An hour later, they all settle at a cool spot and enjoy bottles of soft drinks together while singing to their childrens favourite song on Cartoon Network or KidsCo. Around 4pm,on their way back to the house, the man will make a brief stop at the hotel where theyll swim and cool off their body from the excessive heat of the sun. After that, they joyfully enter the car and zoom off to their house. Around 1:00am in the morning, when it was the womans turn to disturb the husband for the thing. She quietly started her mid-night prayer...dont ask me what the man did. Do we still have this type of families today? Young couples who are totally dedicated to their togetherness in spite of their individual differences? Personally,if couples are this close and enjoy Sundays like this,it would be very easy for them to find out if anything is happening to their kids or if anyone is cheating. The family is a sacred institution and as we enter the month of December,I invite all of us to see it as a responsibility;not a baby making company or institution. Do you want the type of family I illustrated above? I want same too. Till we get to the Promised Land,I shall be waiting for when youll pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race. MBN.
