DO YOU LOVE YOUR LIFE HERE?! If you do you may not make it! John 12:24&25 reads: 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. 25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. GODS purpose for believers is the ultimate death of the self life. The moment we get born again GOD, through the HOLY SPIRIT sets to achieve this purpose in us Philippians 2:12&13 reads: 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. It is GOD which worketh not you. Your work here is to obey by yielding to HIS work in you. Your work is to accept with thanksgiving whatever HE is doing for your good because it will fulfill HIS own purpose for your divine destiny not your own. Romans 8:28 reads: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. What things? We will see in other two verses before this Romans 8:17&18 reads: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. As children and joint heirs we will suffer with HIM so that we will be glorified with HIM. These sufferings are the work that GOD, the FATHER will work in us. These sufferings will work for our good at the end. Their purpose is to nullify the self life because it is our self life that is carnal. Therefore the self must be put to death If we must share in the glory of CHRIST in the end it must be through this process of GOD working in us. Until GOD works us up to the point where we loath our self life we will not really appreciate the life CHRIST offers us. GOD did the same work in Pauls life. Romans 7:14-25 reads: 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. note 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. O wretched man that I am! GOD worked in Paul to the point he accepted his wretchedness and truly embraced the total life in CHRIST Gods work differs according to our different dispositions. In some people the work is faster while in some it is slower, this depends on our level of yeildedness. But one thing we should pray for is that GOD should open our eyes to see HIS work in us. Galatians 2:20 reads: 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. For GOD to accomplish the nullifying of the self life in us, we must take note of two things: 1. The fact that we have been crucified with CHRIST. 2. The experience after acknowledgement of the fact Whatever fact we dont acknowledge, we will not experience. We must acknowledge the fact that we have been crucified with CHRIST then we will experience it. At this point we will truly embrace the work of GOD in us. Three experiences every believer should seek for if we must make it is found here: Philippians 3:10-12 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. In verse 10: THAT I MAY KNOW HIM AND THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERINGS BEEN MADE CONFORMABLE UNTO HIS DEATH What death? The death of the self life so that the resurrected life will live in us. Cry to GOD for this experience Remember, he that loves his life here will loose it but he that hates his life will gain it at the end.
