DO YOU REMEMBER !!!!!!! 1980 WORLD SERIES (Game 6) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait until tonight (Thursday Nov. 13th). Live, in person, on stage at Harrahs Resort & Casino in Atlantic City I will get the opportunity to see PETE ROSE (my childhood idol). For those of you too young to know anything about him and for those of you who refuse to appreciate and honor what he did for the game of baseball while he played, here is a brief synopsis about Pete that pretty much says it all. Pete Rose, also known for his nickname Charlie Hustle was a former Major League Baseball player and manager. Rose played from 1963 to 1986, and managed from 1984 to 1989. Rose, a switch hitter, is the all-time Major League leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053), singles (3,215), and outs (10,328). He won three World Series rings (two with the Reds and one with the Phillies), three batting titles, one Most Valuable Player Award, two Gold Gloves, the Rookie of the Year Award, and also made 17 All-Star appearances at an unequaled five different positions (2B, LF, RF, 3B, & 1B). Need I say more. If all of that isnt deserving of an induction into the Baseball Hall Of Fame, I sure as hell dont know what is.
