Dear Elgeyo Marakwet residents; while visiting the county this weekend it came to my realisation that some leaders have been preaching division in the county between communities. The current bone of contention is the building of University in the county.Let me be clear those who want to run a campaign of hatred will not succeed. While addressing the public in Kapsowar I made it clear that its our desire as a county to start a Tambach University college from the premises of Tambach Teachers college as we build new premises for Tambach University.I was also informed that in Marakwet East there is a donation of 2000 acres of land for establishment of a University. I have asked the MP and representatives of the community to give me the documents so that we can start another university there to be called Kerio Valley University.We are making similar efforts in Keiyo South and Marakwet West.Let my people know that we have enough for all of us to develop everywhere.Let us not listen to those who divide us.As your Senator I will remain the glue that will bind us together as communities of Elgeyo Marakwet County.I have now taken over to ensure full realisation of the dream of higher education in our county the home of champions. WELL TODAY IT HAS COME TO PASS
