DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS REALLY TRUE? Venerable Todd Gaylor 10 mins · Longview, WA . Venerable Todd Gaylor Jazmar that is a do more do more attitude and it is not in harmony with what Jehovahs organization expects from the congregation. The organization is loving and kind. They dont want disabled persons to come. They are merciful and have made arrangements for them to listen to the meetings on the phone. I wish you would read that article I told you about. Read the whole Watchtower. It was good. It talked about being willing to bend and be flexible. The organization has proved to be flexible and therefore made a program that disabled people can listen to the meetings by the phone. But I dont think the organization realizes that when you are out of sight you are out of mind and so the congregation doesnt think about the disabled. I think the Watchtower thinks that by providing many publications instructing the congregation to take care of the sick that they are sufficiently ensuring the sick are helped. But I have seen otherwise. There needs to be a program to ensure not one is missed ( Hebrews 12:15 New World translation says Carefully watch that no one fails to obtain the undeserved kindness of God, so that no poisonous root springs up to cause trouble and many are defiled by it ). I think the Watchtower thinks that by writing many publications and giving many talks concerning the need to help the sick and disabled ensures all get helped. But what I see is otherwise. Each and every disabled brother and sister Ive met has told me that sometimes years go by before they get a visit from a brother or sister. Each and every one of them says they dont get visits very often. What I have witnessed is whenever the Watchtower writes such articles everyone goes and helps the same person. They go pay visits to the ones who are in wheelchairs. They dont realize that some disabilities are not visible and so they all go and help the person same person. That person thinks the organization is doing a great job. But without an organized system to ensure no one is missed, what I have personally observed is the majority of disabled ones are missed. You have to realize Jehovahs holy spirit is not going to heal our disabled brothers till the new system. And to expect them to go to the meetings might be too much for them. And the elders are merciful and dont expect all the sick can make it to meetings and that is why they have arranged for them to listen on the phone. Elders have lovingly told ones they would rather them not to come and yet they are to be considered faithful brothers that are loved by the Lord. Again I say not all disabilites are visible. I know a brother that is bipolar and when bipolar people are in the manic phase they sometimes become delusional. That bipolar brother disrupted the memorial thinking Jehovah wanted him spread a message. Thankfully the elders were able to get him to control himself. However they have not always been successful at controlling bipolar brothers. I saw a brother thinking he was on a mission from God and the elders could not control him and had to call the police. Think how dangerous that could have been. If the police are unsuccessful at calming down a mentally ill person they just might shoot him. Police have shot and killed mentally ill people before. Recently in New York police were unable to calm down a mentally disabled man and they shot at him. They missed and killed several people. Jazmar how would you feel if you told a mentally ill person he had to go to the meetings and then he went and it resulted in him being killed by the police? How would you feel if he went and the police missed and killed several of you brothers and sisters? Please answer Me. Wouldnt you feel terrible and somewhat responsible for the deaths of your brothers and sisters? As for that bipolar brother that was arrested the elders mercifully told him that he shouldnt go and may never be well enough to go until the new system when Jehovah heals him. And he is still being considered a brother. Anyway I wish you would copy this post and show it to your elders. Ask them if they if they feel some people are too disabled to come to the meetings and should still be considered a brother. There is a reason the organization has provided a way for the disabled to listen to the meetings on the phone. I dont think the organization realizes that when a disabled person is out of sight he is out of mind and forgotten. And I dont think the organization realizes that when they provide publications and talks to help the lowly, what often happens is a lot of people go help the same person and a lot of others are still forgotten. I have seen and experienced it with my own eyes. I wish someone would tell Jehovahs organization what I have told you. Right now I just dont have the strength to do so. I dont have mental stamina. Right now I am doing everything I can to not kill myself. My only friends are my virtual friends. I dont dont think I would be suicidal if I had friends actually pay me a visit. I dont have the strength anymore. I fear rejection. I fear rejection could put me over the edge and I take my life. I now a mentally disabled brother who took his life. I think he took his life out of lonliness. I was his friend and so was one other brother. But he expressed he didnt think the rest of the congregation loved him. He killed himself right after he moved to another city. He not only is mentally disabled but he was in a wreck that Physcally disabled. Only two brothers showed up to help him move. I tell you the truth, when you get visits from one or two people you cant help but beleive the rest of the congregation doesnt love you and I know that isnt true. They all go help the same person and the rest of the disabled are missed. I wish you would show this post to your elders. At the moment I am just not strong enough. ..
