DOES IT MAKE SENSE What constitute something that makes sense to you? Give you an example. The fool says in his heart there is no GOD, Psalm 14:1, 53:1 As far this verse is concern, anyone who denies God is a fool. Point of note though, the God referred to is the Hebrew God, turn God of all Christian faithful, as found in their “Holy Book” the Bible. Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. Hosea 4:1 Here we are told how could was having a disagreement with people, wonderful don’t you think. It calls for a sort of debate with God over certain issues. In the same book of Hosea if you are bible student vs 6, when further to say “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge” It shows clearly how indispensable is the place of knowledge in all matters relating to God. Again we find in scriptures God, the Christians God actually inviting man for a round table discussion “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. ” Isaiah 1:18 Reason, God here is inviting man to reason with him, reason and logic go and in hand remember. God even has some variants of foolishness, please do remember that when we say God in this context, is as earlier defined. “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” I Corinthians 1:15. Yet the scriptures when on with a new twist “At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.” Mathew 11:25 Whereas, we earlier saw a eulogisation of knowledge, and the need for reasoning, here we are told that all those that possess that skill have their senses supplanted. Babes have no capacity to reason or rationalize, they just take or accept or simply believe what they are taught. How do all this agree with one another, it does not make sense to some of us? Let just stop here.
