DOGS NO LONGER ALLOWED IN FISHBACK SOCCER AND SOUTHBROOK SOFTBALL PARKS Beginning immediately, dogs will no longer be allowed to accompany their owners or caretakers in Fishback Soccer and SouthBrook Softball Parks. Continuing issues with improperly disposed pet waste, dogs left unattended and dogs running off-leash in these venues have raised concerns for the health and safety of parks patrons, particularly children. The only exception to this ban will be service animals. Brookings citizens are reminded that Municipal Code Chapter 14-4 requires owners and caretakers to control their animals by leash while in public parks, and Chapter 14-125 requires owners and caretakers to clean-up after their pets on any public property or private property other than their own.
