DOGS NSW OPEN DAY Saturday 15 June 2013 9.00am – 5.00pm Dogs NSW will be opening their gates to the general public on Saturday, June 15 between 9.00am and 5.00pm and inviting you to attend ‘Dogs on Show.’ This is not just a Championship Dog Show but a public open day, which features special events, activities and fun demonstrations. These events highlight the many sports and the fun you can enjoy with your canine companion, plus the advantages of owning a purebred dog. Activi ties on the day include a Championship Dog Show, Dr Katrina Warren and ‘The Wonder Dogs’, Jack Russell Terrier racing, Obedience, Agility and Herding demonstrations, Dances with Dogs, Fun with Junior Handling, a colourful Pageant of Breeds plus much more. Celebrity Host, Farmer Dave will also be in attendance on the day, bringing his expertise and fun personality to the day’s events. David started life as a sheep and cattle grazier on100,000 acres, training and breeding sheep herding dogs to be able to manage the vast out back stations. David is passionate about providing urban dogs with an outlet for their natural instincts and is the principal and head trainer at Australian Canine Sports & Training Centre. There will be numerous affiliated breed clubs in attendance, setting up information stands, so if anyone is interested in speaking to someone about a particular breed of dog, there will be expert advice on hand. This is particularly beneficial when deciding what breed of dog best suits your lifestyle and very helpful for young and growing families. Dogs NSW will also have an information stand on site with information sheets on all the Australian National Kennel Council’s recognised breeds of dog, as well as having Dogs NSW show bags and merchandise for sale. To add to the festivities, we are also inviting dog related companies to attend, to promote their products and services, so there will be lots to see on the day. This will be a fabulous day out for the dog enthusiast, for someone unsure on what type of dog would best suit them, or simply a fun FREE day out for the entire family. There is something for everyone so why not come along and enjoy the festivities, particularly as Dogs NSW is also celebrating our 20th year as being a Royal association; our official organisation is the Royal New South Wales Canine Council. ‘DOGS ON SHOW’ is proudly sponsored by Royal Canin and located at The Bill Spilstead Complex for Canine Affairs, 44 Luddenham Road, Erskine Park.
