DONE!!! Casted off Kevins sweater tonight. YAY!!! This piece was inspired by an iconic church I saw in Reykjavik last year. It rose above the city skyline and I as taken by its striking and strong presence, much like the person I made this for ;) I did a stylized cable motif (modified staghorn) inspired by the interior arches. A variation of the same cable was used for the sleeves. The exterior of the church is echoed in the sides of the body in twisted single ribbing. It was as much a dyeing project as it was a knitting project. Who would have thought that a bluish-grey variegated yarn would have taken 4 overdyes to create. Glad I did it. Its hard to tell in the photos but theres a nice depth in the colour. Now to block it!
