DONT JUST LIE THERE Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed and walk. And immediately the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked: ... - John 5:8-9. Long-term illness often cause hopelessness. The man at the pool of Bethesda had been ill for 38 years and had given up on ever being cured. Especially as he thought that there was no one there to help him into the pool when the water is stirred by an angel. But God has promised to always be with us even when everyone deserts us. The man was healed through the power of God. God can heal in miraculous ways and wipe out sickness with a simple touch. Nevertheless, we must do our part. Obey His instruction; hearken diligently unto His voice and keep His commandment. Dont just lie down there and say I have nobody to help me; look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Look unto heaven from where cometh our help. Our help sure comes from the Lord which made heaven and earth. God is faithful.
