DONT LET ANYONE OR ANYTHING KEEP YOU FROM REACHING YOUR GOALS OR REALIZING YOUR DREAMS! In the 8th grade Kelsey tried out for club volleyball, but didnt make it. She was crushed. That disappointment turned into determination. She was determined to play volleyball in high school despite the fact that she was told that most girls who make the high school teams play club ball. During the summer between 8th and 9th grade she starting running in the mornings with DeLisa Gaines and Lesia Suggs-Goodson and attended a college camp. We all prayed and waited as she tried out for the JV team. Now, 4 years later Kenneth Stewart, Joanne I. Gaines and I walked her onto the court last night for the last time as a high school varsity volleyball player! 8th grade Kelsey: Mommy, I dont care what people say. I am going to play volleyball, one day I am going to run through that eagle and sing the National Anthem in public. Tonight we watched our baby reach some of her goals by Gods grace and the love of family and friends.
