They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 26:3-4 (TLB): He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, whose thoughts turn often to the LORD! Trust in the LORD God always, for in the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength. SEASONS OF waiting SEASONS OF WAITING draw you closer to God . Is God Listening? Psalm 10:1 (NRSV): Why, O Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? Psalm 74:11 (NIV): Why do you hold back your hand, your right hand? Take it from the folds of your garment and destroy them! (his enemies) Psalm 94:9 (NIV): Does he who implanted the ear not hear? Psalm 5:3 (NIV): In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. Psalm 4:3 (NIV): …The LORD will hear when I call to him. Does God Care? Psalm 77:11 (NIV): I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. Zephaniah 3:17: The LORD my God is with me, he is mighty to save. He takes great delight in me, he quiets me with his love, he rejoices over me with singing. Is this God’s Will? A key is that faith is required. Do Seasons of Waiting have a positive aspect? 1. Deepen our insight into what we really need. 2. Broaden our appreciation for his answers. 3. Waiting matures us. SEASONS OF opposition EXPECT opposition : 1 Peter 4:12 (NIV) :Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. DON’T quit : Galatians 1:6-7 (NIV): I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. ATTACKS COME AFTER victories .
