DON’T PUSH GOD OUT 1 Timothy 4:15-16 – “Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” It is so important that you take time to improve your quiet moments for devotion with God because in the whirl of everyday activities, you cannot make a good decision. That is, a decision with God. You cannot think while on the run. The simple truth is that you will never find a convenient time for God; you must make it. Every time of man is occupied but remember that there is a time for everything. There is a time to talk and a time to listen. There is a time for movement and a time to be still. Stop jamming your life so full that you push God out. He is not one of those things; He is the most important of all. We serve God with our sacrificial offerings of inconvenience. That is, when we dishonour ourselves that the Lord might be honoured in what we have to give. All offerings of convenience are not sacrificial. While making time to talk to God, don’t forget you also need time to sit back in faith and listen to what God has to say. It is not a matter of bringing what you think you need to hear; this is about what God has to say to you. Every day, God has something to say to you. Even when He seems to be quiet, God is still saying something. When God speaks, changes begin. Your life will not change until you change something you do daily. Therefore, the secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine. Listen to the voice of God and ask Him to teach you to take the next step in trusting Him, heart and soul.
