DOUBLE AMPUTEE AND BRITISH VETERAN HERO ATTACKED IN STREET BY MOB OF HATEFUL YOUTH. PLEASE SHARE: A former British Soldier and double amputee has been attacked in Nottingham because of his patriotism and service to this country. The attack which was conducted by a group of local UAF ‘heavies’, was condemned by the community nationally. Nottinghamshire Police have released CCTV footage of a soldier being violently attacked by three men in the city as his fiancee attempted to shield him. Jamie Edwards, 32, was punched to the ground and repeatedly kicked in the head by the Nottingham men in Clumber Street on 5 June. The gang then proceeded to remove his prosthetic limbs and beat him around the head with them until he was unconscious. Daniel Moore, 22, of Lathkill Close, Bulwell, Aaron Winfield, 18, of Broxtowe Lane, Broxtowe and Luke Stone, 21, of Cheviot Drive, Bulwell, all admitted holding membership to the Unite Against Fascism organisation ultimately carrying out the attack because of radical beliefs encouraged by Nick Lowles of Hope not Hate. Mr Edwards, who had lost both his legs in Afghanistan is in hospital receiving treatment but is understood to be in a ‘stable’ condition. Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
