DOUBLE STANDARD OF SEPARATISTS--READ BELOW-- India hell bent to change demography of IOK: Gilani Troops martyr one more Kashmiri youth in Kupwara Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that India is following a long-term project to change the demographic complexion of the territory. In a statement issued in Srinagar, the veteran leader termed the proposed regularization of 20 migrant colonies in Jammu a deep-rooted conspiracy of the puppet authorities. He said that as a part of this conspiracy non-state subjects were being provided lodgings in the territory and pro-India parties for the lust of power were extending their full support to New Delhi.Syed Ali Gilani demanded release of all illegally detained Kashmiris including Hurriyet leaders, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai and Mir Hafeezullah before Eid-ul-Fitr. He said that under the international law, these leaders were political prisoners and there was no justification for initiating criminal cases against them and sentencing them to death or life imprisonment. Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, addressing a meeting of his party, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, in Srinagar, today, paid glowing tributes to the martyred senior APHC leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz. He said that the Kashmiris would continue the mission of their martyrs till complete success. Sheikh Aziz was shot dead by Indian troops on 11th August, 2008, while he was leading a procession from Srinagar to the Line of Control against the economic blockade of the Valley by Hindu extremists of Jammu. On the other hand, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Tangdhar area of Kupwara during continued military operation. A trooper was also killed in an attack in the same area. The troops have martyred at least thirteen youth in different areas of the district during the past six days. One Indian trooper was killed and six others were injured in an explosion inside Chushul Garrison in Ladakh. Mirwaiz urges India to take steps for Kashmir settlement MainAdd comments Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has said that India should learn lessons from dialogue process between Taliban and America and take concrete steps to resolve the Kashmir dispute. The APHC Chairman addressing a gathering in Srinagar said, international scenario is changing and time has gone when issues would be solved through intimidation and oppression. “America and other NATO countries are forced to talk to Talban for the resolution of Afghanistan issue. Along with its troops’ withdrawal, the US is also holding track-2 diplomacy with Taliban to solve the Afghan imbroglio. India should follow the suit, shun its militaristic approach, and learn lessons from the shaping and reshaping of the world order,” he said. The Mirwaiz said that Israel and Palestine had also resumed dialogue process, which was brokered by America and the Arab countries. “Time has come for India to engage seriously with Pakistan and Kashmiris for resolution of the Kashmir dispute. America has accepted the truth and India will also have to do it sooner or later,” he added. He said that power and oppression would never prove a solution to the political problem of Kashmir. “India might be a strong military power but they can’t keep Kashmir anymore at gun point,” he maintained. Asserting that the Kashmiris were the owners of their destiny, he said that the APHC would provide cooperation in the dialogue process between Pakistan and India. However, he stated that any dialogue process without involvement of the Kashmiri people was unacceptable. He said that the Kashmiri people would continue their peaceful struggle till complete success. Taking a dig at the pro-India parties, the Mirwaiz said that they were indulging in opportunistic politics and asked them to join Hurriyet camp to prove their sincerity towards the Kashmir dispute. Maintaining that elections cannot be an alternative to the Kashmir issue, he said, “Some people claim that they will solve Kashmir issue but there claims should not be believed. They are just befooling people for power politics. Elections can have some meaning only after resolution on Kashmir, not before that. They try to divert the attention from the real issue of Kashmir.” The APHC Chairman demanded that Masjid Aqsa (Qubla Awal) should be handed over to Muslims. Mirwaiz rejects demand separate homeland for Pandits Urges Pandits to return home Srinagar, Aug 3 (KNS): Asking Kashmiri Pandits to pay heed to the “propaganda of communal fanatics”, Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday urged them to return to their homes in Kashmir Valley. Rejecting the demand of Panun Kashmir for a separate homeland, Mirwaiz said that such an idea was a clear reflective of communal thinking ingrained in that party. He said that Hurriyat Conference has made it clear it would never accept the split of Jammu and Kashmir on religious or regional basis “since it would stoke fire which would be impossible to douse.” “Kashmiri Pandits are inalienable part of Kashmiri society,” he said, urging the Pandit community not to pay heed to the “propaganda of communal fanatics”. “They should return to their respective homes in Kashmir,” he added, according to KNS. Addressing a gathering at Masjid Sharief Rozabal Khanyar here, Mirwaiz said that it was the duty of every individual to respects human and Islamic values to make a healthy society, free of all the evils. He, however, said the speed at which the social evils are spreading in Kashmiri society, it has come as a big challenge for the conscious class of the society. Mirwaiz said the preservation of Islamic values and Islamic identity was the main responsibility of Kashmiris. “If Kashmiris fail to shoulder those responsibilities, it would have devastating consequences on Kashmiri society,” he added.
