DOUBLING the minimum wage to $15 will *DESTROY* the economy and is the worst thing that could happen right now. If minimum wage is doubled the added cost of labor will DOUBLE for businesses! That cost gets passed on to the consumer! A loaf of bread goes from $2 to $4. An extra value meal goes from $5 to $10. Rent goes from $700 a month to $1400 Any business that cant afford to charge outrageous prices will fold. Companies will ask *FEWER* employees to do *MORE* More so, anybody making around $12 currently can demand that their wage be DOUBLED as well. A CNA would then be making nurse money and a nurse would then be making astronomical dollars resulting in HEALTHCARE skyrocketing... Thats just a few industries... anybody who has taken a basic macroeconomics class knows this. The people actually making minimum wage dont. Can *SOMEBODY* tell me about these benefits that will offset these losses???
