DOÑANA TODAY Good time for butterflies in Doñana now. An explosion of Small Whites and Clouded Yellows all over the marshes along with many Painted Ladies, and good number of Swallowtails, Small Coopers and Green-stripped Whites. Good temperatures and many passerines still coming in; species like Whinchat, Spotted Flycatcher, Wheatear and Willow Warbler are still passing through, and others like Woodchat Shrike, Melodious Warbler, Red-necked Nightjar and Orioles are still coming to stay. Several Marble Ducks have been seen at Dehesa de Abajo and, near there, they have just started to flood some rice fields which is attracting Pratincoles, Whiskered and Gull-billed Terns.
