DP c’ttee on Taraba visits Suntai in USA BY Henry Umoru ABUJA—THE Senator Hope Uzodinma-led seven-member committee looking into the political quagmire in Taraba State, following the long absence of Governor Danbaba Suntai, has concluded arrangements to visit the governor in the United States of America this week. The committee members will use the visit to show their concern and pray with Suntai for quick recovery. Speaking with Vanguard, yesterday, on how far the committee had gone since its inauguration last month, Senator Hope Uzodinma, PDP Imo, said that the visit by the committee became necessary to cool down nerves of party members and stakeholders in Taraba State. Senator Uzodinma, a member of PDP Board of Trustees, BoT, said: “The committee was not set up to remove Suntai, but to bring together stake-holders of the party into one family in Taraba, especially ahead of 2015 elections.” The committee was set up to fast track the process of constitutional adherence in Taraba State as it affects the current status of the office of the governor of the state. Other members of the committee are the Political Adviser to the President, Ahmed Gulak; Alhaji Shittu Mohammed, Alhaji Bala Buhari, Professor Richard King, Mrs Bolajoko Doherty and Senator Abubakar, who will also serve as Secretary. The committee was given two weeks to complete its job. Vanguard News
