DPP Keriako Tobiko orders EACC to investigate MPs Keter, Sunjeev over weighbridge commotion Via #TheStandard Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko has ordered EACC to investigate Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter over storming of Gilgil Weigh-Bridge to demand police release lorries detained for overweight. The detectives will also summon nominated URP MP Sunjeev Kour Birdi who had accompanied the MP to the weighbridge on Saturday night demanding the release of the lorries. Tobiko said he wants investigation file on the issue within a week for action. This was after a video emerged in which Keter was captured insulting the police, Kenya National Highway Authority officials and officials contracted to man the weighbridge for detaining the lorries. The two MPs claimed that State House comptroller, Rift Valley PC Osman Warfa and chairman of Parliamentary committee on security Asman Kamama and others wanted the truck released as the president didn’t like the detention. But the officials remained adamant promoting the MP to go mad and abuse them.
