DR. DOYIN OKUKPE, ASSUME THE HONOUR THAT IS DUE YOU Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Romans 13:7(New International Verson) When the All Progressives Congress(APC) was formed on the 6th of february, 2013, not much hope was put on that process, especially by the incumbent Party the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). Obviously, the hoplessness was never as a result of doubt by the incumbent, but due to fear, as clearly identified by their activities to frustrate every process leading to the formal registration of the APC. There was the attempt of first to register a Party with the same acronym as the APC. There was the mudsliding of the APC as an islamic Party. There was the serious indictment of the Party also as the sponsor of the Boko Haram activities in the country, so on and so forth, all in a bid to discredit the Party as a competent alternative to the PDP which has been leading the country and is still severely leading her to serious delapidation. Worst of all, while in doubt and in a dare attempt to cause distraction from the Party and draw attention to the PDP, the presidential media spokesman, Doyin Okukpe, who was actually not and is still not the PDPs spokesman or an executive member of the Party to speak for it, had to volunteer himself to be termed A BASTARD should the APC scale through these huddles he and other similar PDP members envisaged would weigh the Party down before the its first annivasery. The Party has systematically scaled through all these huddles set before it as a litmus test. First the APC successfully came through with the formation processes. When it got to the election of its leaders and the executives in the various states and the federation, the hope for its disintegration hightened within the ranks of the PDP. But when it scaled through, Doyin did not announce his BASTARD status. The APC got to the stage of electing its flag-bearers in all the states of the country in preparation for the 2015 general election, it was once again forecasted as the demolition point for the APC by the PDP goons like Dr. Doyin Okukpe. To there greatest surprise the APC became stronger as properly expressed in the attitude of the various contestants who appreciated each others effort and attrbuted victory to themselves inspite of loosing, establishing that fact that it should never be about self, but overall and general interest. Unlike the APC, in virtually every state across the nation where the PDP picked there flag-bearers, there has been one pungent issue of rejection and another. If it is not about the Assembly, it is about the Governorship. If it is not for the House of Reps., it is for the Senate. Worst of all, situations where one least expected lack of cohesion and understanding, states where they supposedly have the major and influencial PDP propagators, and the nation had hoped theyd be exemplary in actions of mutual understanding, they have had the most acrimonious electoral process so far in history. States like Enugu presently has not less than five(5) governorship candidates which the court has only just yesterday restrained one, Ayogu Eze who is currently the spokesman of the Senate, from parading himself as one. In Lagos, theres rejection and war of words between their Leader Chief Bode George and former junior defence minister Musiliu Obanikoro. Same too in Rivers where not less than eighteen(18) persons were made to spend more than 15million naira just for nothing but an untransparent and intolerable process called Party primary. What of Adamawa, Katsina, Akwa-Ibom, Imo states? Its been calls for the cancellation of one result to another. That similar simple process which the APC used to establish how formidable it is has tore the PDP apart and yet Okukpe has still not deemed it fit to pronounce himself A BASTARD as promised. Not only has the APC outlived the one year forecast of disintegration by the PDP, just yesterday the Party proved to be the best and most democratic Party existing in the Nigeria today by the way and manner there presidential primary was conducted and also by the way and manner there presidential aspirants conducted themselves before, during and after the election of the Partys flag-bearer. But up till now it is unbelievable that Dr. Doyin Okukpe has still not decorated or coronated himself with the NIGERIAN BASTARD OF THE CENTURY Award. Or should it be attributed to the PDP way of life instead? Please Dr. Doyin Okukpe, when do you intend to assume the honour that is due you?
