...DR. WILLIE OBIANO OF APGA WINS ANAMBRA GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finally declared the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Dr. Willie Mmaduabuchi Obiano the winner of the just concluded 2013 governorship election in Anambra state. Announcing the result at the state INEC headquarters in Awka, the residence electoral/returning officer and the vice-chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. James Ekpoke said that Dr. Willie Obiano, having scored the highest number of the votes is declared the winner and returned elected. Dr. Obiano of APGA won with a landslide margin, polling a total number of 180,178 votes. Comrade Tony Nwoye of the PDP came far second with a total of 97,700 votes. The APC candidate, Dr. Chris Ngige came third with 95,963 votes while the candidate of the Labour Party, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah came fourth with a total number of 37,195 votes. ....Big CONGRATS to APGA...
