DRAMA MINISTERS YEAR OF GREAT THINGS DRAMA MINISTERS 40 DAYS PRAYERS AND FASTING - DAY 4 (January 1 - February 9, 2015) THE PRINCIPLE OF THE FIRST-FRUITS Joshua 6:2, 17-19, 24 NKJV [2] And the LORD said to Joshua: See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor. [17] Now the city shall be doomed by the LORD to destruction, it and all who are in it..... [18] And you, by all means abstain from the accursed things, lest you become accursed when you take of the accursed things, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. [19] But all the silver and gold, and vessels of bronze and iron, are consecrated to the LORD; they shall come into the treasury of the LORD. [24] But they burned the city and all that was in it with fire. Only the silver and gold, and the vessels of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD. They had crossed over to Canaan Land, Halleluyah. They had met with the Commander of the Host of Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ, who had come to them to instruct them on how to take over the land and be successful. Intrestingly, Joshua had submitted himself to Him and bowed at His feet and asked from Him, whatever He wanted him to do, and the Commander had issued the first instruction to Him: Off your sandal from your foot, because you stand on Holy Ground that was the first order: IF YOU WOULD SEEK AUDIENCE WITH THE LORD, AND RECEIVE FROM HIM THE KEYS THAT OPEN UP ALL THE DOORS OF BLESSING AND WONDERS OF THIS YEAR OF GREAT THINGS AND BOUNTIFUL HARVEST, YOU WOULD NEED TO STAND BEFORE HIM IN ABSOLUTE HUMILITY OF HEART, so that you could be able to comprehend His strategic instructions. And Joshua obeyed that first instruction. Your previous experiences and personal wisdom will not give you any access into the complex land of Canaan, only your submission to His Instructions and Commandment will give you the right Directions. So, Joshua obeyed the Commander, and off his sandal. Next, we came across the Commanders next instructions in Chapter 6 of Joshua. Israel had come face to face with the first city of the Canaan Land, the City of Jericho, a mighty fortress, a great city with an extremely impenetrable wall of defence. That was the first city of Canaan land, a city siting at the entrance of the land flowing with Milk and Honey. It was as if a whole city was standing at the gate of the Canaan Land, and no one could enter the land of Canaan without, first, breaking through the City. So, the Commander of the Host of Heaven, had come to give them instructions on how to break through the city. THEN, MOST IMPORTANTLY, THERE WAS AN IMPORTANT SECRET ABOUT THE CITY THAT THEY NEEDED TO KNOW. THEY WOULD NEED TO BURN THE CITY UP. THEY WOULD NEED TO RENDER EVERY HUMAN AND ANIMALS AND MATERIALS INSIDE THE CITY INTO FLAMES OF FIRE, WHOSE SMOKE MUST ASCEND INTO HEAVEN. ONLY THE ARTICLES OF GOLD, SILVER, BRONZE AND IRON MUST BE SEPARATED AND BROUGHT INTO THE TREASURY OF THE LORD. That was what they were to do to the city of Jericho, the first city they encountered in Canaan Land. They were not to take anything out of the city for themselves, so as not to bring a curse upon themselves. The city must be burnt off into ashes and the precious articles must be brought into the treasury of the Lord. WHY? WHY? WHY??? This is another Great Secret for eating the blessings of this year. Another secret to gaining access into the Massive Harvest and Greatness and Testimonies of the new year. What did burning the whole city of Jericho and dedicating the precious articles unto the Lord stand for, for the whole people of Israel? Look at these verses: Proverbs 3:9-10 NKJV [9] Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; [10] So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Exodus 22:29 NKJV [29] You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe produce and your juices. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to Me. Exodus 23:16, 19 NKJV [18] and the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors which you have sown in the field; and the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you have gathered in the fruit of your labors from the field. [19] The first of the firstfruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God... It is interesting to me, that the prinicples of the Lord for entering into Season of Harvest was repeated for the children of Israel as they stood to enter into the bountiful Harvest land of Canaan. THE LORD DEMANDED FOR THE FIRST FRUITS OF THE LAND OF THEIR HARVEST. They had laboured in the wilderness, and they were now about to enter into their Harvest field in the land flowing with Milk and Honey, so the Cammander of the Host of Heaven, commanded them to dedicate all the precious articles (gold, silver, bronze and iron) to the treasury of the Lord and then, set the entire city on fire whose smoke would rise into heaven as Burnt Offering. That was a strategic burnt offering. A whole Burnt Offering. THE FIRST FRUIT of the field of Harvest. Their entire first profit in the land of Canaan. Samuel was the FIRST FRUITS of Annah. He gave to God Samuel and the Lord gave her a Harvest of five children ( three males and two females): 1 Samuel 1:11 NKJV Then she made a vow and said, O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head. That was the vow she made when she was in barrenness and had waitied before the Lord for a fruit of the womb. Then, when the Lord gave her a son, Samuel, she handed him back to the Lord, to be His servant. She gave the Lord as the First-Fruit of her womb. Then, the Word of God came fulfilling in her life: her barn was filled with plenty: 1 Samuel 2:21 NKJV And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the LORD. And when God was about to renew the covenant He made with Abraham, He demanded from him the sacrifice of his only son, Isaac. That was his First Fruit, because it was the only son he had at that time, having sent Ishmael away at Gods instruction: Genesis 22:1-2, 12, 16-17 NKJV [1] Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, Abraham! And he said, Here I am. [2] Then He said, Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you. When God saw that he laid his son on the altar and was about to kill him, He knew he had sacricrificed him in his heart, He called unto him again: [12] And He said, Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me. And by releasing that child unto the Lord as His First-Fruit, the Lord renewed His covenant with Abraham: [16] and said: By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son- [17] blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In my ministry life, my wife and I have been commanded many times to give unto God our first fruits. On many occassions, these instructions had come to us whenever there was a great field of Harvest before us or whenever the Lord was about to oepn before us a great door of breakthrough. In our ministry, the Lord God had once demanded from us the first-fruits of landed properties, a costly car, a whole profit from movie sales, etc. On many occassions, First-Fruits gives God a chance to renew wih someone, a covenant of blessing, provisions, enlargement and increase. So, the Lord demanded from Israel, as they were about to enter their possessions in Canaan land, a complete burnt offering of a whole city as their first-fruits into the massive harvest of many more great cities. No wonder the Lord gave to them, cities of seven nations in Canaan Land. YOU HAVE CROSSED OVER INTO THE YEAR OF GREAT THINGS. YOU HAVE CROSSED OVER INTO THE YEAR OF HARVEST AND TESTIMONIES. You have stepped into the Year of multiple blessings and miracles. However, one of the KEYS THAT OPEN THE GATE OF CANAAN LAND, WAS THE COMPLETE BURNT OFFERING OF THE FIRST CITY OF POSSESSION. You should give God the chance of renewing His covenant with you by getting ready to honor Him with a First-Fruit of your increase. It could be a great seed into Mission fields. It could be a great seed to your Pastor or a minister of God. It could be major offering to your churchs building projects. It could be a huge sacrifice of entire profit of a sale or business into an evangelical program. LET THE LORD SPEAK TO YOU. LET THE COMMANDER OF THE HOST OF HEAVEN GIVE YOU INSTRUCTIONS OF THE ALTAR TO PLACE YOUR BURNT OFFERING AS YOUR FIRST-FRUIT. One of the KEYS to opening up the windows of Heaven in this Great Year of Great Things and Massive Harvest is GIVING UNTO GOD YOUR FIRST- FRUITS so that your barn can be filled with plenty and your winepress bursting out with new wine.
