DRAMATIC WEATHER CHANGES NEXT TWO DAYS! MONDAY - A strong arctic front will roll through the Carolinas. Ahead of it, temperatures will peak in the 70s and it becomes windy with gusts near 35 mph. Showers and storms will also become likely in the afternoon with a few of the storms capable of damaging winds. Although the risk of a tornado is very low, it is not zero. The First Warning Weather team will watch the radar carefully all day. Sometimes our line of storms doesnt materialize thanks to a more robust line that develops over Georgia and Florida. This often robs us of deep moisture and more unstable conditions. MONDAY NIGHT - Skies clear and cold air pours in with lows in the low to mid 30s inland to near 40 at the coast. TUESDAY - Sunny, breezy and cold with high temperatures of 43º-47º TUESDAY NIGHT - Record cold with temperatures falling to 21º - 25º Records Tuesday night: Florence: 24º set in 1951 Myrtle Beach: 25º set in 1949
