DRAUGHTSMAN – EAST RAND Matric grade 12 (Including maths) A minimum of 5 year’s working experience in drafting relating to the Building and Structural Industry. Preferably Architectural or Engineering background with minimum NQF5 qualification Familiar with AutoCAD and/or Caddie drawing packages Able to draw accurately and complete technical drawings with cutting lists and details and enable customers to successfully complete their projects Preparation of production sketches as per customer’s construction drawings and specifications. Sound knowledge of all products manufactured. To process customer’s drawings and calculate complete material/cutting lists quantities with minimum wastage for production Obtain information from customers and/or proposal of general and specific design details. Plan and control phases of projects according to customers program, accurately and timeously Ensure that Bullnosing & Curving sketches are submitted and approved by customers prior to production. Ensure that all revisions and/or updates are approved and filed before entered into production. Ensure that all drawings are filed systematically and have a reference number Assist Internal Sales staff with customers in order to measure templates, samples and products Interact with these customers professionally meeting their requirements. Offer technical advice and support regarding materials and application of products Use CAD system to optimize performance and accuracy Filing of customer drawing Proof of design projects worked on will be an advantage. Ability to understand Structural / Technical drawings in order to produce project drawings Working knowledge of computer packages e.g. MS Office and CAD Attention to detail. Be dynamic and productive team player. Able to work under pressure
