DRAW FROM THE ABUNDANT FREE BLESSING. The scriptures state some things that draw blessings unto man, Mt. 5:3-11. The attributes are those: 1. Those who follow him in spirit, 2. Those who mourn in spirit, 3. Those who are gentle and lowly in spirit, 4. Those who are hungry and thirsty for justice, 5. Those who are merciful, 6. Those with pure heart - the righteous, 7. Those who work for peace - peace makers, 8. Those who are persecuted for righteousness sake. The poor in heart/spirit are those who repent and believe in Christ Jesus. What God wants is a repentant heart, Ps. 51:17; Is. 57:15. If you humble yourself before God and repent you will receive his goodness. God will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of despair, for those who mourn, Is. 61:3. 2Cor. 1:7 (NLT) states, We are confident that as you share in suffering, you will also share Gods comfort. If we are sharing from Gods comfort, we have not lost anything mourning in spirit. To be meek is to be humble in spirit. Ps. 37:11 (NLT) states, Those who are gentle and lowly will possess the land, they will live in prosperous security. Blessed are those who are hungry and thirsty for Gods word. The word of is free and gives power, Is. 55:1-6. 2Tim. 3:16-17 (NLT) states, All scriptures is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. 17. It is Gods way of preparing us in every way, fully equiped for every good thing God wants us to do. Therefore you have to discipline yourself, hunger and thirsty after righteousness, to receive blessing, Heb. 12:10-13. It is a joyful thing to be kind and merciful, Ps. 44:1-3. Part of mercy is forgiveness and it is being reciprocated by God. It is vital in salvation. Whatever act of kindness you render is noted by God and you are going to be rewarded for it, Heb. 6:10. If you are not merciful, you cannot receive mercy, James 2:13. It is Gods mercy that gives us grace and salvation. The pure in heart are those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Ps. 15:2. God wants us to be pure in heart. It is only through this you can live in peace with everyone, Heb. 12:14. When you show love to others, you will be in peace with them and seek peace always. Someone who seek peace and love will not want to live in an environment that lack peace and tranquility. He will be a peace maker and be called a child of God. If people persecute you for righteousness sake, you should be happy because God is there to fight for you and count it for righteousness. 2Cor. 4:17-18 (NLT) states For our present troubles are quite small and wont last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever...For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever. 2Tim. 2:12-13 (NLT) says, If we endure hardship, we still reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us. If we are faithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself. In as much as your persecution is for doing the right thing, God will reward you, 1Peter 3:14. Be happy and rejoice when you are being persecuted for righteousness sake, Lk. 6:22-23. Followers of Jesus Christ should not allow persecution to spoil their joy in Christ, Acts 5:41-42. 1 Petes 4:14 (NLT), Be happy if you are insulted for being a Christain, for then the glorious spirit of God will come upon you. Therefore persecution for righteousness sake should be seen as a blessing not a curse. It is therefore pertinent to note that you have nothing to fear or lose in following Jesus Christ. You can be sure of your blessing and mercy from God. Thus come to the thrown of mercy where blessings are abundant. Prayer: Lord, thank you for your abundant blessings that you have given unto me. Please perfect your plans for me and let me receive abundant mercy and blessings in Jesus name. Amen. Remain ever blessed in Jesus name. Amen.
