DRIVE THEM OUT!!!! Deutronomy 7;The bible in context talks about the manner in which God expected the Children of Israel to do when they entered Canaan finally.They were to do away with anything that was detasteful to our God. They were to drive out all the nations without sparing none. They were to break down their altars,smash their sacred stones,cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols in fire.. Now i want to talk to you.. Is it that you prayed so hard for a miracle and when God gave you finally,you became familiar with the HolySpirit. Most of the time,we pray and seek God for a particular thing in our lives,we even make a promise to God,that we shall give back to Him the same measure. Theres nothing wrong in making a promise to God,but its worst when you make it and you do not keep it.That is why the bible tells us to be slow when making promises to God,He is in heaven and we are here on earth. My question to you is,have you driven away all the nations God wants out of your life, Have you broken every idle in your life hindering the flow and power of the HolySpirit. For yoall who are married,do you remember the way you were commited to God, overnight prayers,you were there,seminars and conferences you were there, you used to be amongst the first people to arrive the sanctuary.Do you remember how you promised to serve God with your family? but now what happened??? The very miracle that brought you close to God has become a snare to you.You nolonger have time for God.Attending such meetings according to you now is a waste of time. I mean the same child that brought you close to God has become a big snare to you. Its Gods desire to bless us on a daily basis so that we nolonget lack but our behavior after we get the first blessing has a lot to do with whether you will do alot of kingdom tests before you get another blessing.. Could I be talking to somebody who is blaming God for their predicament, stop for a moment and evaluate your seriousness with God. God never lies,He is faithful. Are you idolizing so many things in your life such that God has no place in your life.. Are you busy making money at the expense of spending time of God.. Is that Son or daughter making you forget your quiet moments with God.. Are you idolozing that car or that house such that you you think its more important than the word of God.. God has His own ways of getting your behind down in His presence without you saying No! He has the ability to shut that well of idol worship until you sober up. He can reduce you to nothing.crash you and bring you to level zero again.From nothing to nothing ,that is what i call it. He is God and He shares His glory with nobody. When you begin to whine and murmur about something that you imagine God should have already given you by now,check whether you drove all the nations out of your life,destroyed their altars or you didnt do it and God is waiting on you to do it.. On a daily basis,people around the world breathe their last,most of them better and good looking than you,richer than you,have more children than you,have more degrees than you and so forth,but God in heaven chose to wake you up today.He desired that you should be alive to testify of His goodness in the land of the living.. You have no right to turn your behind from the presence of God. You have no right to worship temporary things of this world.Its better to obey God than man.. The reason He woke you up today is because you are special to Him and He wants you to fulfill your purpose here on earth.. Purpose to obey God rather than people or your feelings. Say No! to every indication of idol worship in your life in Jesus name.. I leave at that... Bless yoall ... Shalom!
