DRIVER CLASS A OR B – Must possess Class A or B CDL license with HAZMAT endorsement; Clean Abstract; Experience Hauling Hazardous and Non Hazardous Waste; Roll off Truck/ Tanker experience (combination units preferred); 40 hour HAZWOPER certification (provided if necessary); Experience using Bulk Vacuum trucks. Physical requirements: Ability to work in confined spaces; Ability to exert physical effort daily; May be required to wear full face respirator and all levels of protective clothing. Essential Responsibilities: Perform work under direct guidance of Project Coordinator’s, Supervisor’s and Foremen; Operations of commercial motor vehicles like rack trucks, box vans, vacuum trucks, tractor trailers and or combination units such as Jet Rodders etc.; Keep driving records (i.e. Daily pre and post trips inspection). Observe speed limits and obey D.O.T regulations; Perform simple vehicle maintenance (i.e. clean backhouses, filters and cyclone); Fuel assigned vehicle and maintain assigned vehicle(s) cleanliness inside and outside; Adhere to all regulations regarding transportation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste; Ensure that material picked up at customer’s premise is properly manifested and placarded; Travel may be required and will be compensated accordingly; Maintain all DOT and OSHA certifications as required to drive a CDL truck. There will be occasions when normal eight hours will be performed at different shifts employees will receive two days’ notice prior to shift work; Salary between $14 - $18/hr. LAB PACK CHEMIST – Full Time. 4 year degree in Environmental Science or Chemistry preferred; Military experience a plus; Background in hazardous waste designation, lab pack segregation, and environmental management; Knowledge of Chemical package regulations per DOT and EPA standards; Clean Driving Record for past 2 years; 40 hour HAZWOPER (provided if necessary). Essential Responsibilities: Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to pumps, vacuums and forklifts; Work individually and in teams to perform lab pack services, segregating and classifying hazardous and non-hazardous materials per Federal DEP & EPA guidelines and State requirements. Properly complete waste profiles and regulatory documentation including manifests, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR’s) and container labels. Performs emergency response activities including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination, etc. Perform consolidation of hazardous materials/waste (i.e. bulking, repackaging); Perform projects pertaining to hazardous waste operations; including but not limited to evacuation, drum management and disposal. Provide expert knowledge on government regulations, safety practices and proper disposal methods to management and technicians; ability to wear and properly use all levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) including full respirators; Ensures Health and Safety policies are strictly followed at all times; Due to emergency response nature of this business, may be occasion to respond to urgent spills off hours. Essential Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate and manage hazardous waste site remediation projects. Oversee teams that perform lab pack services, segregating and classifying hazardous and non-hazardous materials per Federal DEP & EPA guidelines and State requirements. Complete waste profiles and regulatory documentation including manifests, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR’s) and container labels. Performs emergency response site evaluation activities including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination, etc. Perform projects pertaining to hazardous waste operations; including but not limited to evacuation, drum management and disposal. Contract proposal to new and existing customers. Accounts management and customer contact. Must oversee and emergency response team and have experience in all levels of Personal Protection Equipment.
