DRIVER CRUSHED IN TIP TRUCK ROLLOVER A truck driver was transported in a critical condition to Westmead hospital this after his tip truck rolled in Sydney’s north west. The CareFlight rapid response trauma team were called to Richmond Road, Marsden Park, at 1.30 pm, landing 13 minutes later in a development site nearby. The truck driver, aged about 30, had been ejected from the cabin and was pinned underneath after the vehicle rolled in a collision with a car. With NSW Police, Fire and Rescue and NSW Ambulance on the scene, a forklift truck from a nearby worksite had been used to lift the truck and extricate him before the CareFlight medical team arrived. CareFlight’s doctor and paramedic provided initial treatment including intubation and a chest drain for serious chest and head injuries. The doctor continued treatment in a road ambulance on route to Westmead. Photos: The rolled truck and collision scene.
