DRUM MAJORS CAUTION I wish to amplify Drum Majors caution regarding the veracity of our publications. The county government is increasingly becoming insecure especially because of the many scandals in its management of public finance. Such a desperate administration has no democratic options of engaging its opponents. It has now resorted to autocratic tendencies of silencing critics by either buying them or threatening them with prosecutions. As you are all aware many youths especially from Ndaragwa constituency have been summoned by CID office based in Nyahururu in some instances accused of planning to demonstrate against Governor Daniel Waithaka. Even before we discuss the merits of such summons and their constitutionality I would not wish to see any of our youths splashed with an induced criminal record and denied chances to earn legitimate livelihood. As a responsible and battle hardened human rights defender I would advise youthful activists and budding human rights champions to always echo sentiments they believe are true and at all times do so with dignity and respect. Further, I advise you start using nom de plume or nom de guerre. I would hate to see anyone youth being denied opportunities in our county after being blacklisted for exercising their freedom of expression. I am always happy when I meet some of you shake hands and then they whisper to my ear I am so and so on fb.
