DRY BLOOD STAINS I said Wow, as I walked out and saw the numerous spots of dry blood stains. The way my heart is broken down, I cannot begin to explain. Men have tried to wash the blood away, but still the dry stains remains. You can see it even better after it has already rained. Americans are always talking about Justice, but for black men her face is still hidden. Just as Able was slain by Cain, back close to when the world began. Dry blood stains appear in hospitals by the way of injustices all across the country. That is why I speak so loudly about us slipping when it comes to unity. You are so worried with your wop-sided society and the way you display your skills publicly. Failing to understand that you’re accumulating more blood stains secretly. Better yet invisible, because there’s no secret that your vulgar attitude and your hatred for my black skin is all that you have blossomed into. What will be your answer be when the Lord God begins to question you? He will ask; When your brothers needed you, why weren’t you your brothers’ keeper? He’ll ask; In society, why weren’t you a true believer? Where is my son and why does he cry from the undignified acts of your murdering hands? It is good to forgive, but shouldn’t justice be displayed equally to cover every man? My Laws were supposed to be commandments that you all stayed attached to. You detached from me and your own ways came raging through. There will be a different kind of justice that comes out and shines through one day. You and your injustices will be repaid for every single drop of the dry blood stains. (This poem is dedicated to Sean Bell, Jermaine Ward, Roy Glen Jr., Troy Davis, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and any other African-American male that has been subjected to injustices in America and/or justice has fallen short in America on behalf of Black American men.)
