DS9S7E02 - Shadows and Symbols: Ezri-Dax. Ezri was on the starship transporting the Dax symbiant when Dax took a turn for the worse and needed to be joined. Ezri was the only Trill on board. Quark joins the mission to ensure Jadzias place in Sto-Vo-Kor. Ezri is having a difficult time adjusting with the Dax symbiant. Ezri is an assistant ships counselor. Kira is going to set up a blockade of the fourth moon, Derna, to ensure the Romulans dont get their launch sequencers after she discovers missile launches along with a hospital. The Siskos and Dax arrive at Tyree. The Klingon ships mission is to destroy the Dominion Ship Yard. The Bajoran government provides Kira with 12 impulse ship for a blockade. Sisko keeps a quick pace on Tyree, his father is having trouble keeping up. He has the baseball with him. Ezri takes it from him and throws it. Where it lands is where Sisko decides to dig. Kira hopes the Romulans will not risk the alliance with the Federation by firing up on the blockade. Sisko keeps hearing a hospital style page asking for Dr Wykoff to report to isolation ward room 4. Martok advices Worf that the non-Klingons want to honor Jadzia just as much as he does. Worf apologizes to OBrien, Bashir and Quark. Sisko finds the Orb but pauses opening it. He has another vision. He is the Sci-Fi writer again (from a previous episode, the one that had a mental breakdown). He is in a hospital ward writing his space stories on the walls. The Romulan cargo ships are two hours early. Kira is not backing down. Is Siskos vision, the doctor offers him the opportunity to paint over his stories. On Tyree, Sisko starts reburying the Orb. The Klingon ship is dangerously close to the suns corona. They need to do that to invoke a solar flare to destroy the Shipyard. Sisko fights in his vision to continue writing his story. On Tyree, he opens the Orb. A beam shoots straight up, travels through space and reopens the wormhole. The PahWraith is expelled and destroyed. Three JemHadar ships engage the Klingon ship. However, the Klingons do manage to invoke the flare and the shipyard is destroyed. Sisko vision changes. He is now conversing with an image of his mother. One of the Prophets possessed her body for a short period of time, then he was born. The Emissary returns to DS9.
