DSS parades Tega Sampson Oghenedoro (aka Fejiro Oliver) for allegedly blackmailing Niger State govt *claims he demanded N50m to kill a report *Fejiro denies the claim, says he only wanted to confirm a report The Directorate of State Security Services (DSS), Niger State Command, on Monday paraded one, Mr. Tega Sampson Oghenedoro (aka Fejiro Oliver) for allegedly blackmailing the Niger stare government and others. The state SSS Director, Dr. Larry Obiagwu said the activities of Sampson and his con-conspirators, some of whom are at large were in the habit of raising unsubstantiated trumped-up and wild allegations against the state government. Press statement signed by the Director, Larry Obiagwu said Sampson Oghenedoro through investigations was discovered to be the same person as Fajero Oliver who is a staff of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in Delta state. Obiagwu said, “Sampson is also the Managing Editor of the Daily Voice Nigeria. He also works for Elombah Communications, an online news reporter owned by Daniel ELOMBAH, a United Kingdom based attorney”. The suspect with two others at large namely; Stanley Ogene and Francis Arinze co-founded the Secret Reporters Group (SRG) with the sole objective of blackmailing government officials and Head of Corporate Organisations for pecuniary reasons. Apart from engaging in fraudulent activities, the SSS Director said the suspect who would be appearing in court soon is also a member of the Sea Dog Confraternity a.k.a Pirate Confraternity had at no time conducted or carry out any investigations on the activities of Niger state government as claimed. Consistent pestering of Niger state government officials however prompted the involvement of the SSS who set trap for the suspect as he walked into the trap on the social media. He was subsequently invited by the Secretary to State Government (SSG) Niger state and was subsequently arrested by the SSS on September 19, at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja via Asaba Airport. Meanwhile, Sampson while responding to questions from journalists claimed that he was in possession of a document of corrupt practices against Niger state government over accessed funds from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and had wanted to confirm from the government before going to press. The suspect who however told journalists how he had published part of his findings before his arrest by the SSS on his way to claim N50 million from Niger state government to ‘kill’ the story said he never mentioned any monetary tag for the story he was investigating as a journalist.
