DSWD Encourage Public to Help in Reporting CCT Anomalies Davao City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development encourages the public to help by reporting anomalies, disparities or inconsistencies with regards to the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. In an interview, DSWD Secretary Corazon Soliman said that reported anomalies will be investigated. The secretary urged those who knew something about the anomalies to come forward and help speed up the investigation. The Pantawid Pamilya, like any other programs, there is always a margin of error. The DSWD, however, exercises transparency and accountability to correct mistakes and further improve program implementation. The program has always been keen in encouraging beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries to voice out their concerns. They can forward queries and complaints to their City/Municipal Links (C/ML) assigned in their respective barangays. The complainant, however, must ensure that the correct and detailed information are provided to the C/ML so as to fast-track the resolution of the complaint. Complainants may also visit the Pantawid Pamilya Regional Program Management Office at the Old DSWD, Suazo Street, Davao City or call tel nos. (082) 227-1964 local 416. Complainants may text their questions and complaints to the Grievance Hotline at 0918-9122813 by following the format Pantawid Pamilya your name address complaint (ex. Pantawid Pamilya Juan Dela Cruz/Davao City/Wala ko sa payroll). In addition, each municipality/city conducts the monthly City/Municipal Advisory Committee (C/MAC) who is chaired by the City/Municipal Mayor. During the C/MAC meetings, grievance-related issues in the area are discussed. Also, problems on Supply Side are tackled to draw out possible solutions to resolve the Supply-related problems. At present, the Municipal/City Links assigned in every Pantawid Pamilya barangay administer the Social Welfare Indicator (SWI) to identify if a household falls in any of these categories: survival, subsistence or self-sufficient. The SWI will then help the department identify what other interventions can be accessed to assist the family. The SWI also monitors the changes in the family’s socio-economic condition after receiving the package of intervention. Pantawid Pamilya is a social development program which focuses on meeting the Millennium Development Goals of eradicating extreme poverty and hunger, achieving universal primary education, promoting gender equality and empowering women, reducing child mortality and improving maternal health. In hopes of attaining these objectives, the program provides cash assistance to augment in the school and health needs especially of children age 0 to 14 years old. The beneficiaries will need to comply with the sets of conditions required of them to claim their cash grants. In Region XI, the laudable impact of the program is already perceived. Stories of gains and development have been documented in Pantawid areas where there has been striking increases in school enrollees, availment of health services and attendance to Family Development Sessions. Pantawid Pamilya not only provides the basic rights to health and education but also provides them a better perspective in life. It empowers them to be productive individuals and in turn create a more productive society.
