DUA OF A SICK PERSON IS READILY ACCEPTED! Rasulullah (sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said, When you visit a sick person, then tell him to make dua for you, because his duas are (accepted readily) like the duas of the Angels. [Ibn Maajah]. Rasulullah (peace and blessing be upon him) has also said, The dua of a sick person is not rejected until he recovers from his sickness. [Ibn Abiddunyaa] _________________________ Volume 7, Book 71, Number 638 Narrated Abdul Aziz: Thabit and I went to Anas bin Malik. Thabit said, O Abu Hamza! I am sick. On that Anas said, Shall i treat you with the Ruqya of Allahs Apostle? Thabit said, yes, Anas recited, O Allah! The Lord of the people, the Remover of trouble! (please) cure (heal) (this patient), for You are the Healer. None brings about healing but You; a healing that will leave behind no ailment. _________________________ Hadrat Aaisha (RA) relates that whenever Rasulullah (s.aw) would become ill, he would recite the Muawwizaat (surah al-Falaq and surah an-Naas) and then blow his breath over himself and rub his hands over his (auspicious) body. (Bukhari and Muslim). She also says that when anyone in his family was sick, he would recite the muawwizaat and blow onto the sick persons body. [Sahih Muslim]. Allahuma rabbi-nas adhhabal basa, ashfi wa entashafi, la shifa illa shifauka shifa la yughadiru saqama. Meaning, Oh Allah! The Sustainer of Mankind! Remove the illnes, cure the disease. You are the one who cures. There is no cure except Your cure. Grant us a cure that leaves no illness.
