COUNCIL STRUCTURE: ISG Nishi” One of the most important changes in our operation was to our council structure. Not only are we reducing the number of International Council members from 21 to 15 from 1 July 2015 but out of those 15 members, we decided to invite a young council member aged between26 to 40 years old. Are we ready for that?” YOUNG Y’S MEN CLUB’S - ISG Nishi; “We have established the first Young Members Club in Nairobi, the Triple Y Service Club, and this is so encouraging. I thank the local leadership for mentoring this new club. It is vital that our movement offer the opportunity for the young generation to get together to serve people and community with their unique ideas and creative style. Obviously, we can bring that generation of members into current clubs and there is no need to start a new club but we need to be democratic, flexible and understand that change is needed.” - Chair Young Members Taskforce Olga:” It was remarkable to learn of the chartering of the first Young Member Club, the Triple Y Service Club of Nairobi. She believes it is important to persuade all leaders (especially APs and RDs) to accept responsibility and encourage younger members to join clubs and to charter new Y Youth Clubs in all Areas and Regions.” - IYR Stephan Walker “was heartened by the chartering of the first Young Member Club, Y Service Club of Nairobi Triple Y. This is a clear indication of a vision becoming a reality.” - Youth Intern Roxy “Our biggest achievement (and one that I feel not only the Youth should be proud of) is the chartering of the first Y Service Club of Nairobi Triple Y is a “young” Y Service Club with most members around 30 years of age or less. This means that our organisation is willing to accept change and therefore, it will grow in membership numbers as we have more to offer.” -ISD Youth Involvement and Activities YORIKO “A new young Y Service Club called “Nairobi Triple Y” was chartered on 13 March 2013. It can be the model club that bridges Y’s Youth and Y’s Men.” TIME OF FAST-GLOBAL PROJECT FUND COMMITTEE Approval 2013/L Nairobi: Thika YMCA “Thika YMCA Community Hall Development Project”, (CHF 29,361) NB:The 2013 International Council Meeting Minutes and Background Documents have been uploaded to the website.
