DUMB AND DUMBER TO... Its sooo good to have the old Jim Carrey back on the big screen. He will always be remembered for his films in the 90s that made him famous, recently he has either gone down the wrong path of comedy or his serious roles, which have been mostly excellent, havent drawn in the numbers. Here he is returning to one of his most beloved roles alongside the ever changing Jeff Daniels to take us on a whacky trip down memory lane whilst enjoying the new adventure. My main problem watching this is that I couldnt watch Jeff Daniels in a non serious role after his spell as Will Macavoy in the excellent Newsroom, for some reason it just felt wrong but luckily Carrey is frequently the one taking the reins. It is very, very funny and has some genuinely fascinating gags and knows how to enjoy itself. It is in no way even close to being as good as the original as it had a better structure. This one tries to keep up a road movie which stops for a break to play a sketch. Its fun and a worthy follow up but it wnt last like the original did.
