DUPLICATE PRODUCTS OF SAMSUNG WORTH RS.15 LAKHS SEIZED New Delhi, October 21, 2013: Karol Bagh Police Station, DIU Central, along with Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights (EIPR) conducted enforcement action at 2 shops at Lajpat Rai Market and seized duplicate products that were being stored and sold under the brand name of Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. During the enforcement action, EIPR representatives and cops came across many duplicate mobile phones and accessories that were being sold under the brand name of Samsung. A total of 121 mobiles/handsets have been seized and the products are worth Rs.15 lakhs. Ramesh Azmani – Owner of Shop No. 768, Kamal Electronics and Manish Gupta - Owner of Shop No. 658 have been arrested and FIR has been lodged against the accused. The duplicate products were seized with the help of Mr. J K Sharma, ACP, Mr. B. P. Sharma – Inspector of Police, Mr. Utam Kumar – Sub Inspector of Police, Delhi.
