DVD REVIEW; Stand Up Guys starring Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, Alan Arkin. Once again a movie I chose because of the stellar cast. It was a quirky film. Pacinos character Val is released from jail after 28 years for refusing to give up one of his close criminal associates. His best friend Doc (Walken) is there to pick him up. Then they spring their other friend Hirsch (Arkin) from a nursing home and re-live some of the glory days. The problem is that Doc has been given an assignment by his mob boss to take Val out and they both know it so they are making the most of things until the time comes. Not the greatest movie these guys have ever made. Rating 2.5 out of 5
