DVD Update.... Hello everyone, I have had a barrage of emails and messages asking when the Carter Brixton CD/DVD set will be ready so I thought a general post would be in order. The company we have used - Nyquest - I have to say are fantastic. They have filmed and recorded this gig in the best way possible, and the finished product will be top quality. Fruity worked on the audio mix with them, and he thinks it is sounding great. While maintaining high quality standards, and not damaging the editing process, they were able to turn the whole thing around in just over a week and it was delivered to the manufacturers on Tuesday. Amazing! I should also say that the demand was so astonishing it took about three days to just do the end credits. When we asked for names of fans to go at the end of the gig we thought we would get a few hundred of you applying. Well, we got thousands of you! And it takes a while to go through all the emails to get them on screen. I think one day our Director did a 24 hour shift on the credits alone. There is now a ten working day turnaround providing all goes well. Things like bad weather, someone wiping the files, someone spontaneous combusting etc aside delivery could therefore happen on the 16th/17th December. They will make sure that all the orders are packed up ready and raring to go. And if all goes to plan most will then arrive before Christmas. We do though have 2500 of these going out, and with the post being busy and often not as reliable as one would like, we cant promise anything. On the 15th December I will post an update from the factory as to exact delivery times. I also wanted to add that the free beermats for the first 1000 orders look superb! They have been delivered and they are really ace. And the posters for the first 2,000 orders also look amazing. They also have the names that were sent to us on them. We got so many Nyquest may have to three different versions! Logistically these arent going to be signed by Jim and Les though it is such a fantastic package (even without the beer mat and poster) the last thing you want is it cheapened by their scribble. Carter merchandise that isnt signed is a lot rarer anyway. And saving the most important thing to last Dave Meehan the producer/director/head honcho of Nyquest tells me my DVD behind the scenes documentary is the greatest thing he has ever seen. I just sent him a lot of old badly filmed raw footage and said Make some magic happen. I think that is what Spielberg does as well. Anyway, more updates soon. I really hope those who bought it as a pressie get it for xmas and we are doing everything we can to make this happen. Marc x nyquest.bigcartel/
