DWTS OPINION/REVIEW OF MONDAY NIGHTS SHOW: Randy Coutures opening ChaCha was underwhelming as Carrie Ann said. Vals choreography made Janels Foxtrot look very good; shes a contender. Leah determinedly performed her Jive moves well. Potential finalist. Waltrip - nice guy, pitiful dancer. Tavis: 1% ChaCha, 99% faking it with freestyle disco moves. Alfonzos Samba was good, but not up to the 1st nights Jive. Still a finalist. Derek choreographed Bethanys Foxtrot with poses to minimize pressure on her ankle. Potential finalist. Betsy cleaned up nicely; pleasant Foxtrot. Antonio: 1% Rumba, 99% dramatic poses as Cheryl danced around/into him (see his quote below). Chong: Salsa was better than expected - he actually danced! Leave him on for a few weeks. Jonathan: 2% ChaCha, 98% what? Disappointing (I had high hopes for him... and Lolo ... lol) Sadie: Why are we seeing Jazz on DWTS? All dances should be some form of lead-and-follow dancing -- She should have danced Country Two-Step; the song she used would have been fine for that. She has potential, and certainly Mark can maximize that potential. I wouldnt mind the shorter performance times, if everyone would start dancing right away, but instead they chew up 10-20 seconds with non-dancing entrances. Favorite quote: Antonio to Cheryl, not knowing he was being heard: This is a ****ing reality show, for crying out loud. Its not the end of the world! Tonight: results at 8pm. Next week: Movie night.
