DWTS REVIEW 9/29 SHOW - ONE DANCERS OPINIONS: Randys Paso Doble to the Rocky movie theme song was ... rocky, indeed. Alfonsos QS was full of QS content and quite respectable. Betsey did a graceful Contemporary* number with a few gentle lifts and poses. Leah missed a connection with Artem, not enough ChaCha content, coulda/shoulda done better. Waltrip did a few moves they called Waltz - to Bryan Adams Everything I do which is not 3/4 Waltz time. Not a word from Julianne about it being the wrong song for a Waltz. (DWTS did this once before, several seasons back.) Antonios Foxtrot was very stiff when dancing in hold. Sadie did a very nice Viennese Waltz, with great stage presence, to superb choreography by Mark. Jonathan had some frame problems, but the content and partnering, and Allisons Tango choreography, were all good. Janel and Val did an excellent Broadway/Jazz* number, despite having to change choreography on Thursday for copyright reasons. Tommy Chong: Whoa, hes had some Arg. Tango lessons in his past. Bethany & Derek paid homage to Gene Kelly by dancing Jazz* to Singin In the Rain. No spoiler here on who was eliminated -- for those who havent seen the show on their DVR yet. About Kevin Hart: All the showbiz celebs out there who know something about dancing ... and the producers selected a guest judge who knew nothing. *Opinion About Jazz and Contemporary on DWTS: Great to watch on SYTYCD; and some Jazz/Contemporary dance skills are shared with Ballroom/Latin, but there are too many skill-set differences (Maintaining frame and topline, mastering the unique rhythms of each Ballroom/Latin dance) to make it a fair comparison between someone trying to do a Jazz number and someone trying to do a Quickstep or a Samba. Hence the perfect 10s for the two jazz numbers. Heres video of Jonathan & Allisons Tango: youtu.be/CI9cvU7iQrY
