Dad On this day thirteen years ago so much tragedy has forced us to remember it with solemn reverence for those who lost their lives in the senseless acts of terrorism on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in a field in Pennsylvania. We have all managed to carry on and persevere. I want to thank you for all that you were and still are to me... my dad my mentor my friend. You taught me to embrace the suck as it is proof of life and to never quit. And though I do not want to make light of this countrys day of morning for our fallen Heros from that tragic and horrifying day... I do want to take the time to celebrate your birthday. I love you... I miss you more than these words can express. Happy birthday to the biggest hero I have ever known. I want live life as though you are still watching me practice high school football. I never knew how lucky I was that you just came to the field laid down and watched. Oh how I miss those days. Until we meet again. Love always Your son Dave
