Dad and Lt. Windsor reported that today was a very somber experience but also uplifting knowing that thousands and thousands of officers came to show their support and pay their last respects. Today was about honoring a man who gave his life as a hero, honoring a profession where we stand up against the wrong and protect the weak and honoring all those who have made that ultimate sacrifice. We have not nor we will we ever forget them. These are just a couple pictures from today. Dad and Lt. Windsor said ENGINE 286 HOOK AND LADDER 135 so graciously opened their doors and provided refreshments for the many officers who traveled from near and far to attend. And maybe remind the few, if ill of us they speak, that we are all that stands between the monsters and the weak.
