Dad brag time.... Byron ended his athletic career as a Wolverine in the Iowa Shrine Bowl yesterday. In the video, he is warming up before the game. Carson Parker, another Wolverine and a good friend, is the holder. We were fortunate to have a lot of family and friends at the game yesterday. Byron had a very nice career as a Wolverine in athletics, music, and academics. His teams made it to the UNIDome two years for football playoffs and to Wells Fargo for state basketball. He made all-conference/district nine times in four different sports. He was on honor roll every quarter. I will certainly miss watching him play football, basketball, golf, and baseball; playing trombone; and singing in choir and show choir, but I really look forward to seeing him on campus at UNI next year!
