Dad brought my kindergarten nephew Cash over yesterday to help uncle Andy fix his faucet (broken pipe in barn). Not sure what we were going to do with him while the actual repair took place I was glad to see pawpaw bring out a toy dump truck. Cash was put to work hauling rock from a pile to the hole with the broken pipe. Time for lunch. First we had to convince Cash that there is no place to get pizza in Mt. Vernon. Next decision McNuggets or cheeseburger. He chose burger (usually a nugget man), we should have known that something was up. In DQ everyone orders cheeseburgers and are happy? Cash unwraps his sandwich and says mine has meat on it! Foolishly, we explain that is what he asked for. We put him to work on his fries hoping that he would forget about the meat and eat it anyway. Problem is that this kid never forgets anything. Dad and I exchange glances not sure what to do. Finally Dad took the patty from Cashs sandwich to make himself a double. Cash eats his cheese sandwich like he hasnt been fed in a month. Problem solved. Good thing that there were no toppings or we would have been screwed. We got him jacked up on Mt Dew and ice cream, let him play in my very dusty (dirt floor) barn then sent him home to G.G. to get cleaned up. Fun times.
