Dad ended up having to have a general anaesthetic as spinal did not take. He is not doing too good at the moment. Ankle pin and plated and on antibiotics because skin around closing area not too good and they want to make sure he does not get an infection. His heart and kidneys are not working properly and is carrying alot of extra fluid (around 4-5kgs). They are having to weight him every day to make sure it does not get any worse. His potassium is also up so he has dropsys where he cannot hold a cup and he keeps spilling it. Not eating very much only thickened fluids and small amounts. I am going down tomorrow and will come back on Saturday. I will keep you all posted.
